The content used in Fair face is mainly tyrosinase inhibitor. Skin color is because of presence of melanin in the skin. Melanin is synthesized in the skin by the enzymatic reaction of Melanosomes. This enzymatic reaction is carried out in the skin by enzyme tyrosinase which produces melanin and tyrosine. Fair face inhibits the enzymatic reaction of Tyrosinase.

The contents present in the formulation inactivate tyrosine by chelating with the vital copper ion and suppressing the toutomerisation from opachrome to DHICA (5, 6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid). And in turn leads to the reduction of synthesis of melanin.

Fair face is also enriched with the various antioxidants, minerals and vitamins like vitamin A, C and E present in Fair face ingredients which act together in multiple ways to reduce the formation of melanin and providing nutrition to skin.

Antioxidants present in the formulation helps in fighting the free radicals present and delay aging. Reduction in formation of melanin is followed by glow in applied areas.
